Our Pastors
From owning and operating our own business in Louisville, KY., we moved to Harlingen, TX. in 1979 to enter full time Christian service as a minister of Education and Youth. In 1981, God led us to Corpus Christi to the senior pastorate of this church. While here we have raised our three daughters, watched them all graduate from Christian Colleges, and begin families of their own.
Our oldest is a loving wife, mother to Josiah, Jaden and Adyson, Curriculum Director at Arlington Heights Christian School and the worship leader at our church.
Our middle daughter lives in Centerton, Arkansas. She is a loving wife, and stay at home mom to daughter Kennedy and son Paxton.
Our youngest daughter is a loving wife, mother to Garrison, a part time teacher at Arlington Heights Christian School and the director of KidZone at our church.
Since living in Corpus we have come to realize that the needs of people are not much different from one another, and that every individual has a hurt that needs healing.
It has become so apparent to us that the Church needs to tear down the walls that have divided believers for so long, by offering a place of refuge, healing, and hope to all who seek it.
We do this through fellowship, Bible studies, support groups, counseling, and by offering every worshipper the opportunity to serve others. We have a motto at Abundant Life Fellowship that we mean with all of our hearts which is,"Our Church Can Be Your Home"
If you're looking for A Church Family; a place to train your children in Biblical truths, and a place where you can find acceptance, healing, encouragement, and fellowship, why not give us a try and experience for yourself why we say, What Happens To You Matters to Us!
A Church Family
While driving down my neighborhood street, my heart and mind collided with this poignant reality- Behind every brick and stone front and well manicured lawn was a unique family: single moms, empty nesters, the traditional mom and dad with three kids and a mutt, people on top, and those on rock bottom in pain and turmoil.
That moment left me with a deeper commission unto God to reach N.W. Corpus for Christi...one home at a time. I am also concerned over the well-being of my own children who live in a world that has lost its grip on what moral absolute value is. Even the church of today finds difficulty in it's explanation of absolutes.
Nevertheless, I, and the other staff members at Abundant Life Fellowship, find our direction and passion to be clear and absolute. We are consumed by God's calling to see that our families know the Christ of whom life and love and salvation originate and through Him is sustained.
I accept the role alongside my wife in being our children's primary faith influencers.
Then, through example and through the expression of word, (God's Holy Bible) encourage other parents to be the same for their children.
Children and adolescents are starving to death for truth and relevancy. They no longer choose to hear yet another message of faith hypocrisy; rather, they want to see it lived out. They are hungry to be influenced by a faith that has the power to change them.
I thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for He has entrusted to me family: To my wife Leanne and three children. I will be that authentic picture of faith first to them; and then partner with other parents in becoming primary faith influencers to their children.

When I survey our culture and society I see students who, in ten to twenty years, will be our nation's doctors, educators, fathers, mothers, politicians, CEO's, police officers, city developers and much more - that alone is cause for great concern in today's world. So what do we do? The missionary Paul writes to Timothy and says, "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe."
Our students CAN be the thread of transformation and change. In today's technology-filled culture, I strive to take a dynamic and unique approach to youth ministry, while at the same time utilizing current events in pop culture to convey God's standards for life. My view for ministry is one that empowers students to see the BIG picture in life - that life is more than the here and now and what we have, that Christianity is not just a crutch but a launching pad and a firm foundation for living life to its fullest and for overcoming addictions and sinful behaviors that are detrimental to body, soul and mind.
