Our Pastors
Rick and Sherrye Milby - Senior Pastor
rmilby@stx.rr.com

From owning and operating our own business in Louisville, KY., we moved to Harlingen, TX. in 1979 to enter full time Christian service as a minister of Education and Youth.  In 1981, God led us to Corpus Christi to the senior pastorate of this church. While here we have raised our three daughters, watched them all graduate from Christian Colleges, and begin families of their own.

Our oldest is a loving wife, mother to Josiah, Jaden and Adyson, Curriculum Director at Arlington Heights Christian School and the worship leader at our church.

Our middle daughter lives in Centerton, Arkansas.  She is a loving wife, and stay at home mom to Kennedy.

Our youngest daughter is a loving wife, mother to Garrison, a part time teacher at Arlington Heights Christian School and the director of KidsZone at our church.

Since living in Corpus we have come to realize that the needs of people are not much different from one another, and that every individual has a hurt that needs healing.

It has become so apparent to us that the Church needs to tear down the walls that have divided believers for so long, by offering a place of refuge, healing, and hope to all who seek it.
We do this through fellowship, Bible studies, support groups, counseling, and by offering every worshipper the opportunity to serve others. We have a motto at Abundant Life Fellowship that we mean with all of our hearts which is,"Our Church Can Be Your Home"

If you're looking for A Church Family; a place to train your children in Biblical truths, and a place where you can find acceptance, healing, encouragement, and fellowship, why not give us a try and experience for yourself why we say, What Happens To You Matters to Us!

A Church Family

Danny & Leanne Isom - Family Pastor
chevyisom@hotmail.com

A sign of growth in the world of nature is change - change in the dimensions of a tree, fruit appearing on the vine, and flowers blooming in the garden. In a similar way, change for us means new levels of maturity, of understanding, and in the way we relate to our family and friends.

The past 14 years of ministry here at  "Abundant Life Fellowship" have brought new levels of growth and maturity to my life.  The first few chapters of my ministry here were developing and nurturing my marriage with my wife, Leanne in addition to helping the youth of A.L.F. to grow in their faith.  The next chapters involved more responsibility and privilege with the addition of a son to our family(Josiah) which God blessed us with after much prayer.

Then there are the current pages of new chapters being opened up - which involve two more children, Jaden and Adyson and the role of raising a family grows.

Throughout the ministry here in Corpus I see my role more clearly each day.  It is that I am a servant of the Most High God and that is manilfested in my love and service to my wife, my children, to my pastor and to the fellowship (the church).  The  vision God has placed in me grows in intensity the longer I am here.

That vision is that our lives, the lives of our friends and families would grow in abundance through the saving knowledge of who Jesus Christ is.  That sign of growth is measured by the change in people's life.  Oh, how our world needs the wind of change to blow over it.  We see families being destroyed in increased measure through social ills such as divorce, pornography, drugs, alcohol abuse, affluency, alternative lifestyles and the like.

I am here to communicate through word and deed that - Jesus Christ is the answer for the world today.  He has come to set the captives free, to heal the lame and hurting, and to save the lost from eternal destruction.

He has come so that we may have life and have it more abundantly.

Thank you for giving Leanne and I the opportunity to serve you. It has and will always be a joy.

Roland & Krystal Contreras - Student Pastor
leadbythelight@yahoo.com

When I survey our culture and society I see students who, in ten to twenty years, will be our nation's doctors, educators, fathers, mothers, politicians, CEO's, police officers, city developers and much more - that alone is cause for great concern in today's world.  So what do we do?  The missionary Paul writes to Timothy and says, "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe."

Our students CAN be the thread of transformation and change.  In today's technology-filled culture, I strive to take a dynamic and unique approach to youth ministry, while at the same time utilizing current events in pop culture to convey God's standards for life.   My view for ministry is one that empowers students to see the BIG picture in life - that life is more than the here and now and what we have, that Christianity is not just a crutch but a launching pad and a firm foundation for living life to its fullest and for overcoming addictions and sinful behaviors that are detrimental to body, soul and mind.

Roland is married to his life-long best friend and ministry partner, Krystal.  They are proud parents of one year old daughter, Kyalyna Elizabeth.

About Roland:
